As part of a two-phase expansion of their existing site, Our Lady and St Chad’s Catholic Academy, appointed Interclass for the second phase to construct a large two-storey extension to the existing school building.
The extension now provides additional teaching space in the form of 4 new classrooms and 4 laboratories as well as an impressive new multi-purpose hall.
As the main school sports field was immediately adjacent to the construction site a robust solid hoarding was erected to segregate the site completely from the school. Interclass also worked closely with the design team, re-designing drainage elements to ensure the school retained use of the sports field for the duration of the project, which was seen as additional benefit to the school given their status as a specialist sports college.
Our site team worked in close collaboration with the school’s management team and local residents throughout to coordinate our works and ensure no disruption to both school activities and surrounding areas.
