Interclass was appointed as part of a multi-million-pound expansion and refurbishment project to create a new Centre for Clinical Haematology (CCH) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital – part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. Prior to expansion the centre was running at maximum capacity.

Doubling the footprint of the centre, Interclass was responsible for converting existing offices into much-needed additional clinical space. This has significantly boosted the centre’s capacity to carry out ground-breaking clinical trials and develop innovative new treatments.

The refurbishment has also created a wealth of other new facilities at the centre, including two additional clinic rooms and phlebotomy chairs in addition to increasing the Trust’s infusion capacity by a further 24 chairs.

Testimonial

"Another opportunity to return to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital which is steeped in Interclass' history and it is always fulfilling to be able to bring up to standard a building that serves the community and is so vitally important."
