Interclass successfully delivered a highly sustainable and innovative headquarters and research facility for ZX Lidars, the pioneers of wind Lidar technology used in global onshore and offshore renewable energy projects. The 3,000m² facility at Willow End Business Park, situated near the Malvern Hills and within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), now serves as a flagship location for their operations.
The building comprises a precision production area (including cleanroom environments), dedicated R&D space, engineering workshops, and modern office areas supporting agile working. This dual-purpose design has been built to the highest quality and supports ZX Lidars‘ continued innovation and growth in the renewable energy sector.
Sustainable materials have been used throughout the building, with air source heat pumps and solar PV on the south-facing roof elevations to help generate electricity for the operation of the all-electric facility.
