Interclass would like to announce that Peter Hood, the company’s Construction Director, will be retiring at the end of the year.
Peter originally joined the company in 1992 as a Quantity Surveyor where he stayed for 10 years, before leaving and returning some 12 years later, in 2014, as Construction Director, a position he has held for the last seven years.
During this time, Peter has been responsible for over 200 projects, ensuring our sites remained compliant in the areas of safety, quality, programme and contractual procedures. He has established long-lasting relationships with clients and consultants alike, and over the years Peter has been a key member of the Board of Directors, which has influenced the steering of Interclass into the successful position it finds itself in today.
Peter Hood said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Interclass and it has been an absolute pleasure to see the company go from strength to strength. I know, however, that I am leaving the business in safe hands with Des newly at the helm as Managing Director and wish the company every success for the future.”
Peter’s retirement will be effective from the 17th December 2021, with Des O’Neill providing continuity in the management of our construction delivery teams, as part of his role as Managing Director, to ensure a consistent and smooth transition for our clients.
Chris Watkins, Chairman and Owner said: “We would like to wish Peter all the very best for the future and on behalf of myself and everyone at Interclass, I would like to thank him for his loyal service and greatly appreciated positive contribution to the business over the last 30 years.”
Des O’Neill, Managing Director added: “Peter has provided invaluable leadership to our construction delivery teams over the years and his input will be greatly missed by all. Personally, having worked with Peter on and off since the very start of my career I shall miss the support, companionship and camaraderie that we have shared for 26 years.”
