We are delighted to announce that we have reached practical completion on the Whitley Depot offices based in Coventry.
Interclass was appointed by Coventry City Council as the principal contractor for the construction of the new facility at the London Road site. We worked alongside quantity surveyors, PMP consultants, architects, Atkins, and principal designers, Faithful & Gould, to successfully deliver the project.
This £3.7 million project involved the demolition of existing buildings on site and the construction of a new two-storey office block and CCTV control room. The project also saw the creation of a new warehouse, dog kennel, and an additional parking area. This new administration and deployment facility has become Interclass’ third project completed in the city this year and has replaced all existing administration buildings along London Road.
Extensive community engagement was at the core of this project, and included education and training opportunities for local residents, providing support to the council’s community resilience team.
The team engaged with local suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure these new establishments encourage a local economy boost and new employment opportunities for the area.
